Back in February, we had the chance to check out Sage Hill Ranch Gardens and what. An. Inspiration. Not only are they farming on a North-facing slope, with steep terraces, but in decomposed granite. We get into how they’ve overcome some of these challenges, or managed to work around them, the nuts and bolts of their fertility and watering program, and how the COVID-19 pandemic has shifted them to marketing—last minute—through a CSA box scheme. Very impressed with Spencer’s make-it-work attitude, killer work ethic, and generosity. And much love to all you farmers out there making it work right now.
