BCS products came to America in the early 1970’s at a time when Americans were re-discovering the joys of vegetable gardening and pursuing self-sufficiency. Almost forty years later, there are now many tens of thousands of BCS owners in the US and Canada. Like BCS in Italy, the mission of BCS America is to increase your productivity and reduce the physical effort required to accomplish your outdoor tasks, projects, and farm work. Now introducing the 30” spreader attachment for adding a consistent layer of compost and amendments to a standard 30” bed. Even in a no-till system, there are a myriad of uses for the best two wheel tractor on the market.

Last, an most importantly, our work is—in large part—supported by YOU! Yes, you. Our purpose is to bring you—the farmer—the best small-scale no-till veg-specific hyphen-tastic growing info out there. If you found this episode of the podcast to be of value, and want to see No-Till Growers grow, support our work for as little as $2/month on Patreon or Venmo/Paypal a onetime contribution. At 30+ episodes a year, that’s less than a dollar for each episode. Quite literally, we couldn’t do it without y’all.

And onto our conversation with…

Elliot Seldner - Fair Share Farm Adapting to a pandemic from 70% restaurant sales.

A real, and real tough—albeit necessary—conversation with Elliot Seldner of Fair Share Farm. Yes, we talk about the coronavirus: the nature of the pandemic, how it has changed our farms for the year (maybe for good), and what steps he’s taking to retool his business so he can feed his community. Fair Share Farm relied heavily upon supplying small-scale whole-sale salad greens to chefs and have converted their business, literally overnight, to a box scheme. We also talk about how the pandemic has changed some of their other plans for the farm for the year, but how he is moving ahead with their focus on improving their soil with no-till and cover cropping strategies. We’re very appreciative for this conversation, we hope you will be, too.
