From the [NTG] Archive: Bryan O'Hara of Tobacco Road Farm at NOFA

In honor of our last podcast guest, Bryan O’Hara of Tobacco Road Farm, we’re reaching way back into the No-Till Grower archives (is five months ago worthy of being called an archive?) for a series of presentations he did at NOFA. If you’re interested in how Tobacco Road Farm works, these are a must, as he goes deep into the soil biology, field prep, composting/amending, and Winter growing. It’s especially valuable for no-till veg growers on slightly larger scales and remarkable to learn how he developed his own no-till system through careful observation during a time when there was virtually no information about small-scale no-till veg available. Just brilliant. Que it up!

Join Bryan O'Hara of Tobacco Road Farm in Lebanon, CT, as he describes in detail how to start and manage a no-till vegetable production system using all organic practices. Bryan has been making his living from intensive vegetable production on his 3 acre farm for over 25 years and has been using a complete no-till system for the last 12 years.

Our purpose is to bring you—the grower—the best no-till growing content out there for free. If you found this post to be of value, and want to see No-Till Growers grow, support our work for as little as $2/month on Patreon. We reached out $1K goal for season two of the podcast, but would love to do more to bring no-till growing into the small farm community. Every little bit above and beyond our goal—y’all are awesome, by the way—will go to that purpose.
